About Dr. Emma
Adult and paediatric dermatology with a listening, patient-centred approach
Dr. Emma Gardette is a Franco-British Consultant Dermatologist with over 14 years of clinical experience. She trained in Parisian teaching hospitals, where she developed expertise in inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer, genital dermatology and venereology.
In 2017, she moved to London to broaden her experience across all areas of dermatology. She worked as a consultant at major teaching hospitals, including St Mary's Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, where she led the dermatology service for connective tissue diseases — managing complex conditions such as scleroderma-related disorders, cutaneous lupus and dermatomyositis.
Dr. Emma has a special interest in women's dermatological health, including adult female acne and hormonal skin disorders linked to PCOS, pregnancy and menopause. She also has particular expertise in paediatric dermatology, caring for babies and children of all ages, and is known for her warm, compassionate approach.
Passionate about teaching and research, she regularly mentors junior doctors and believes in a holistic, patient-centred approach to care — prioritising listening, trust and open communication to provide personalised, evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient's needs.
