About Dr. Sapna
A consultant's calm in an emergency — and every day after
Dr. Sapna Verma graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in the UK in 1994 and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 1998.
She undertook postgraduate training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in the UK, including a one-year fellowship at the Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia. In 2003 she was appointed a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Birmingham Children's Hospital, gaining extensive experience managing severely ill and injured children as well as caring for those with minor illness and injury.
Dr. Sapna is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (2005) and a member of the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (APEM). After more than 20 years in the UK, she returned to the UAE — where she grew up — and has worked in Dubai since 2013.
She is passionate about medical education and strongly believes that parent information and empowerment is fundamental to the optimal health of children, young people and their families.

Home to Dubai
After more than 20 years in the UK, Dr. Sapna returned to the UAE, where she grew up, and has cared for Dubai's families ever since — with a lasting passion for medical education and empowering parents.
