What it's for

Care for the way you move

Orthopaedics is the diagnosis and treatment of the musculoskeletal system — the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons that carry you through every day. Pain or stiffness in any of them can quietly shrink your world, from sport and exercise to simply climbing the stairs.

Because so many problems can cause similar symptoms, an accurate diagnosis comes first. With X-ray and ultrasound on-site, we can often see exactly what's happening in the same visit — then build a treatment plan that starts with the least invasive option and only considers surgery when it's genuinely the right choice.

The goal is always to get you back to comfortable, confident movement.

How we treat

From conservative care to expert surgery

Most orthopaedic problems get better without an operation. We always start with the least invasive option that works — and turn to surgery only when it's the right thing to do.

Non-surgical

Diagnosis & assessment

A thorough examination with on-site X-ray or ultrasound to pinpoint the cause — so treatment is aimed at the right problem.

Non-surgical

Medication & pain management

Anti-inflammatories and targeted pain relief to settle symptoms and support your recovery, as part of a wider plan.

In-clinic

Joint & cortisone injections

Precisely placed injections to reduce inflammation and pain in a joint or soft tissue — often avoiding the need for surgery.

Non-surgical

Physiotherapy & rehabilitation

Structured, progressive rehab to rebuild strength, movement and stability — the foundation of most orthopaedic recovery.

In-clinic

Bracing, casting & support

Casts, splints and braces to protect an injury, support healing and keep you moving safely while you recover.

Surgical

Surgery when it's needed

When conservative care isn't enough, our surgeons offer expert operative treatment — with clear guidance and full aftercare.

When surgery is the answer

Orthopaedic surgery, done well

When non-surgical care isn't enough, modern orthopaedic surgery — much of it minimally invasive — repairs, corrects and replaces with precision, durability and quicker recovery in mind. We favour muscle-sparing, keyhole techniques wherever they're appropriate.

Joint replacement

Knee, hip and shoulder replacements to relieve the pain and stiffness of a badly worn joint and restore comfortable movement.

Arthroscopy (keyhole)

Minimally invasive keyhole surgery to diagnose and treat joint problems through small incisions — meaning less pain and a faster recovery.

Spine surgery

Targeted procedures for nerve compression and spinal deformities, when conservative treatment hasn't settled the problem.

Soft-tissue repair

Repair of tendons and ligaments — including rotator cuff surgery — to restore strength and stability after injury.

Fracture fixation & trauma

Surgical repair of complex or unstable fractures and dislocations, to align bones properly and support reliable healing.

Revision surgery

Expert revision procedures when an earlier implant wears out or a previous repair needs revisiting.

Our approach

Least invasive first, surgery only when it counts

Good orthopaedics isn't about operating — it's about the right treatment for your problem. Most people get better with conservative care, and we reserve surgery for when it will genuinely make the difference.

What to expect

A clear path back to movement

From first consultation to full recovery, you'll always understand what's wrong and what comes next.

1

Consultation

Time to understand your pain, your history and how it affects your life, with a thorough physical examination.

2

Diagnosis

On-site X-ray or ultrasound where needed, so we can see the problem clearly and explain exactly what's going on.

3

Treatment plan

A clear plan starting with the least invasive option — medication, injection, physiotherapy or bracing — tailored to you.

4

Recovery & follow-up

Guided rehabilitation and review to rebuild strength and movement, with surgery arranged only if it's genuinely needed.

Recovery & rehabilitation

Healing doesn't end at treatment

For trauma injuries — fractures, dislocations, ligament and soft-tissue damage from falls, sport or accidents — early, specialist care matters, ensuring bones heal properly and mobility is restored as efficiently as possible.

And whether your treatment was surgical or not, rehabilitation is where lasting recovery is won. Our physiotherapists work hand in hand with your surgeon to guide you back to full strength and movement, focusing on:

Restoring range of movement
Rebuilding muscle and tendon strength
Reducing pain and stiffness
Supporting faster recovery
Protecting long-term joint health
Preventing re-injury

Good to know

Orthopaedics, answered

Do I need a referral to see an orthopaedic surgeon?
No referral is needed. You can book a consultation directly for any bone, joint or muscle concern — whether it's a recent injury or a problem that's been building for a while.
Will I definitely need surgery?
Almost certainly not as a first step. The large majority of orthopaedic problems are treated without surgery — with medication, injections, physiotherapy or bracing. We only recommend an operation when conservative care isn't enough and surgery will genuinely help.
Can you scan my injury during the visit?
Yes. With X-ray and ultrasound on-site, we can often image an injury and explain the findings in the same appointment — so your diagnosis and treatment plan don't have to wait.
What's involved in a joint or cortisone injection?
It's a quick, precisely placed injection to reduce inflammation and pain in a joint or soft tissue. For many people it settles symptoms enough to avoid surgery and get back to normal activity, often as part of a wider rehab plan.
Do you treat sports injuries?
Yes — from sprains and ligament tears to overuse injuries and cartilage damage. We diagnose the problem, treat it and guide a safe, staged return to your sport, working closely with our sports medicine care.
Is orthopaedic treatment covered by insurance?
Cover varies by policy. Our team is happy to help you understand what your plan includes and to assist with any claim.
