What it's for

Medicine for the whole of adult life

Adult medicine looks after grown-ups across everything the years bring — the conditions you live with, the symptoms you can't quite explain, and the checks that keep small problems from becoming big ones.

Rather than treating one number in isolation, we look at how blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, sleep and stress fit together, and build a plan that works for your life. When something needs a specialist, tests and referrals are all under one roof.

The goal is simple: more good years, fewer surprises, and a doctor who knows your history.

Adult medicine, answered

What's the difference between adult medicine and seeing a GP?
There's a lot of overlap — both care for adults and both are a first port of call. Adult medicine leans toward the ongoing management of conditions like blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and thyroid, and toward proactive health checks, all with unhurried time to look at the whole picture.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly — online, by phone or on WhatsApp. If you need a specialist, your doctor will arrange the referral and stay involved.
Can I get my blood tests and results in one place?
Yes. Blood tests and in-house imaging are done on-site, so in many cases your doctor can review and explain the results within the same visit rather than sending you elsewhere.
Can you manage my long-term condition alongside my other doctors?
Yes. We provide continuous, joined-up management and are happy to coordinate with any specialists involved in your care, so nothing falls through the gaps.
I'm just tired all the time — is that worth an appointment?
Absolutely. Persistent fatigue is one of the most common and most overlooked symptoms. It can point to iron deficiency, thyroid issues, sleep problems or stress — all of which we can investigate and help with.
How often should I have a health check?
For most adults, an annual check is a sensible habit — more often if you have an ongoing condition or specific risks. Your doctor will recommend the right rhythm for you.
