Patient Rights & Responsibilities

At Circle Care Clinic, your care is built on respect, safety and trust. This charter sets out the rights you can expect as our patient — and the shared responsibilities that help us give you the best possible care.

Your rights as a patient

What you can expect from us

Clear information & understanding

  • Receive a written copy of this Patient Charter of Rights at any time.
  • Receive information about your condition, diagnosis, treatment options and expected outcomes in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Ask questions and request clarification at any point during your care.
  • Request help understanding the Charter or your medical information — interpretation support can be arranged, subject to availability.

  • Receive safe, compassionate and respectful care from qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Be treated without discrimination based on age, gender, nationality, religion, disability or socio-economic status.
  • Receive care based on clinical need and medical priority.
  • Be informed if a recommended service isn't available at the clinic, and be supported with an appropriate referral.

Privacy, dignity & confidentiality

  • Privacy during examinations, procedures and treatment.
  • Have your medical information kept confidential and shared only with healthcare providers involved in your care, with laboratories, insurers or health authorities as required, or when required by UAE law.
  • Receive care in an environment that respects your dignity and cultural values.

Informed consent & choice

  • Receive the information you need to make informed decisions about your care.
  • Consent to, or refuse, any treatment or procedure — unless required by law or in a life-threatening situation.
  • Be informed of the potential risks, benefits and alternatives before giving consent.
  • Seek a second opinion inside or outside the clinic.

Access to your medical information

  • Request access to your medical records as permitted by UAE law.
  • Request corrections if any information is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Receive medical reports or summaries on request (fees may apply in accordance with DHA regulations).

Respectful communication & participation

  • Be informed of the names and roles of the healthcare professionals involved in your care.
  • Participate actively in decisions about your care and treatment plan.
  • Have your cultural, social and religious beliefs considered where medically appropriate.

Transparency of fees & insurance

  • Be informed about the cost of consultations, procedures and services offered at the clinic.
  • Receive assistance with insurance processing and pre-approvals where applicable.
  • Understand that coverage decisions are made by your insurer, and that you are responsible for any co-payments, deductibles or non-covered services.

Safe environment & protection from harm

  • Receive care in a clean, safe and well-maintained environment.
  • Expect the clinic to follow infection-control, sterilisation and patient-safety protocols in accordance with DHA regulations.
  • Be protected from physical, verbal or psychological abuse.

Feedback, concerns & complaints

  • Share feedback or lodge a complaint about any aspect of your care, without fear of negative consequences.
  • Receive acknowledgement and a timely response from Circle Care Clinic's management team.
  • Escalate unresolved concerns to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) through their official channels if required.

Your responsibilities as a patient

How you can help us care for you

To help us deliver safe and effective care, we ask patients and families to:

1Bring a valid ID (Emirates ID or passport) and medical insurance card to each visit.
2Attend scheduled appointments on time, or notify us promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule.
3Provide accurate, complete medical information — history, medications, allergies and previous treatments.
4Follow the treatment plan agreed with your healthcare provider, or let us know if you choose not to.
5Treat staff, clinicians and other patients with courtesy and respect.
6Respect clinic policies on privacy, infection control and safety.
7Look after your personal belongings, valuables and property (including your vehicle) — these remain your responsibility at all times.
8Meet the financial obligations related to your care, including co-payments and non-covered services.
